I watched some 'talking heads' programs this morning. Lots of polls and charts showing favorable vs. unfavorable ratings, how ratings have changed since last year, how they breakout via ethnic, urban/suburban, age, and type of work. I was struck by one poll that asked "Do you think the presidential election was fair?" I realized the operative word in the question is 'think' and my own senator has insisted that "tens of millions of people" believe the presidential election was stolen. However, it seems to me that it's similar to asking "Is the world flat?" and "Is Elvis still alive?" It might be interesting what people think but it doesn't change reality.
