Sunrise - November 28 & 29

Got a bill from the clinic yesterday.  I was a little surprised.  It was for charges that Medicare and my supplemental insurance didn't cover on my annual checkup.  The surprising part was it was for my checkup in January 2020 and the next day I was due for my checkup in January 2021.  (Maybe I shouldn't have been concerned when I didn't get a bill from the plumber for six months after he installed the hot water heater.)

Today I had a 7 a.m. appointment w/ the doc.  I have had to talk first w/ a Medicare person the last two years but fortunately she wasn't around today.  Got through the appointment w/ a minimum of poking and prodding.  At the end, the doc gave me a slip of paper w/ the clinic's website.  She said I could sign up for the vaccine and they would call me when I was both eligible and they had doses available.   That's how I thought the dispersion of vaccines should work here - through local clinics and pharmacies, sign up ahead of time, stay calm, and wait your turn.  Of course, we are talking about an institution that took a year to bill me so maybe I'm being too optimistic.
