Goldfinches

The goldfinches are back!  Usually there are some that stick around all winter but not this year.  Good to see them back.  In fact I stood out on the deck just to listen to the chirps of the sparrows, finches, and robins.  I like the silence of the winter.  It makes one notice all the sounds of spring.
