Foggy Morning

I tracked the deer this morning not through snow but by the indentations their sharp little hooves made in the softened ground.  The only snow in the fields is in the swales and along the edges where the winter winds had swept it into deep banks.   I spent the day in the house putting away Winter red things and placing out the Spring pink things: rugs, towels, pictures, runners, throws, napkins, knickknacks, swag,  etc.   Of course Winter wanted to say goodbye so it started snowing this afternoon.  I thought reciprocating the sentiment was a good idea so had a long hot soak in the tub and built a fire in the fireplace.   I'll greet Spring tomorrow.
