December photo contest theme was 'Unappreciated Beauty'. Figured a gray tree frog and a porcupine are beautiful in their adaptations to their environment. Algae in the spring when it's fresh is actually quite a pretty shade of green. I love finding little mushrooms in the fall when they pop up all over the forest floor. To tell you the truth many ordinary things, like dead thistle heads, look entirely different in dawn or dusk light. Actually everything has beauty but not everyone notices.
