White Jelly fungus

I started ID'ing the mushroom in the picture.  Found a picture that looked like it under the classification called  'jelly fungi'.  Checked when this kind of fungi fruits - starts in August through til frost.  Checked it's extent - east and south U.S. and into South America.  Checked where it's found - on debarked hardwoods.  Everything fits to a Exidia alba (White Jelly fungus).   That's accurate enough for my purposes.  While dried White Jelly fungus can be found in Oriental specialty food stores as a food additive (i.e. not for flavoring ), I'm not planning on eating any.  Just want to know what it is.
