Sunfowers and Bees

I took this picture just at sunrise and these bees spent the night on the flower.  It's cold enough at night now that they don't have the energy to fly back to the hive.  Once the sun shines on them for awhile they will start moving and take off  back home.  A reminder that time is getting short before first frost and I'd better get busy.  Washed and put away all the hummingbird feeders.  Inside I washed the yellow throws, dish towels, and rugs from summer and packed them away.  Replaced them w/ their orange counterparts for autumn.  Put around other decorations for the season.  I have received some very cute Halloween / Thanksgiving cards over the years and decided to line them up on the fireplace mantle this year.  Dunder thinks it's great fun to jump up there and one by one worry them to the edge and watch each fall off.  I put them back up in place but before long he's back at it.  Have done it three times already today.  If Dunder doesn't tire of this game, doubt those cards will make it to another season.
