Weekend nights from 8-11 p.m. is Old Time Radio. Most of the shows come from around WWII time frame. I do enjoy listening to what was on the radio from that time. The shows are very well produced: Westerns like The Lone Ranger, Sci-fi as X-Minus One, Game Shows as You Bet Your Life, Crime shows as Dragnet, Comedy as Fibber McGee and Molly, Drama like Radio City Playhouse, Medical shows as Dr. Kildare. The actors are great. (The Six Gun is played by Jimmy Stewart. Raymond Burr is in Fort Laramie. Rocky Fortune was the voice of Frank Sinatra.) No sex or bad language though the shows have their share of violence - of course this is radio so it all takes place in your imagination. (Which somehow makes the scary parts even scarier). I assume the shows are reflective of the societal mores of their era. If that's so, it's a wonder women ever managed to obtain equal rights.
