Ice Stress Fracture on Pond

Friday the on-line news agencies put out a new quiz on what happened during the past week.  I try to read and keep up w/ multiple news sources but rarely do well on these quizzes.  The BBC sometimes focuses on the minutia of English life. (How was I to know Scott Walker was famous for using the sound effect of punching a dead pig for his 2006 album 'The Drift'?)  Did get 5 out of 7 questions correct.  The Diplomat quiz is even harder since it's only about Asian events.  (Who is Sapar Isakov?)  Got 8 out of 10 questions right this week.  I got 9/12 on The Slate quiz.  The Slate pits you against one of their staff so it softened the blow to realize I did better than a news editor.    Got 7 out of 8 correct on the Bing questions - they put in some ringers though so it isn't too hard to get a high score. I got 7 out of 10 on the CNN quiz and 9 out of 10 on the New York Times quiz.   Got a perfect score though on the METV quiz "Do You Know Your TV Butlers?".
