Ice Art

Forecast temp was to hit a high of 50 degrees today. Woo-Hoo!  Who really cares how much snow is still on the ground?  It's Spring!

I hung my comforter and sheets outside to dry.  Did that early while the snow still had a good crust on it because then I could walk on top to get to the clothesline w/o falling through.  Drove into town w/ the sun roof open on the car.  Took the little delta-wing kite and flew it out in the open field.  Didn't have enough wind to fly the octopus (hey, a great Cephlapod gift) or the box kites though.  On the south east side of the deck the chairs are still encased in a snow bank but it's all clear on the south west side.  Sat out there and did a crossword puzzle in the afternoon.  The thick layer of ice on the ground is gone so walked down the driveway w/ Indy tonight w/ my hands in my pockets.  No more walking w/ hands out to steady myself (or break a fall).
