X - Faux Snow

Early this morning drove to college town for regular maintenance on my car.  I could have it done closer to home but I'm vain enough to enjoy the fuss they make over customers.  Sat in the waiting area, sipping a latte, and watching the news.  Tomorrow another snow storm is coming.  On screen the state display was cut up into areas w/ a 'weather advisory', 'weather warning', 'weather watch', and 'icing'.  I get the 'icing'.   Unfortunately my imagination wraps around the words Warning / Watch / and Advisory so that I can't remember which is worse and which is better.  Think the forecasts should be rated like the U.S. Defense Readiness Condition (DEFCON).   We'll change the name though.   WEACON 5 means normal day.  WEACON 1 indicates a major storm w/ school closings and issues on roadways.  My area is at WEACON 2 (translates to expect 6-10" of white stuff).

It's very telling that you grew up in the North when you think 6-10" of snow isn't a major storm or a WEACON 1. Love it!
