R - February

Temps at the house bottomed out yesterday at -30 by my thermometer ... but it was a dry cold. (ha)  Things were back to normal today.  I ventured out for groceries, picked up lunch, bypassed washing the car because of the long wait line and dropped off a book at the library.  Everyone was out and about.  Looks like next week we will be getting snow.

February comes to us from the Latin word Februa which was the Roman feast of purification.  The feast occurred mid-February and that's how this month got it's name.
