G - Sign

I don't remember who took this picture.  It was one shared by the county clerk years ago.  She was adding some levity to a meeting of the town clerks before a big election.  She also related the true story of a town clerk (in a different part of the state) that passed out glue sticks instead of pencils to a few voters.   Think she was trying to convey that we should do our best but stuff will happen.

The word 'sign' can be traced back to the 13th century and probably came from the Latin word 'signum' which meant mark/token/image/seal.
