The librarian asked for as many volunteers-as-could-make-it to come in for a meeting. She wanted to go over some procedures to ensure that we were all doing them the same way. That went quick and then she had a lunch for us to eat. We all got caught up on gossip. At least three of the volunteers have had a call from 'Spanking Man'. He calls and asks if our library has any books on spanking children. Each volunteer replied they doubted it but he asks them to look it up on our computer system to see if other libraries might have books on the subject. Our librarian said we aren't the only library in the area he's called. Since he's called our library at least three times, it sounds to me like someone is playing a hoax. One volunteer said they hadn't bothered looking and just told 'Spanking Man' there were no books. "You lied to a user?" I asked a little aghast. "Like Trump." was the answer.
