Burr Oak

It was a little slow at the library while I was on duty so my mind started to wander.  Went w/ a friend recently to see the 'Crazy Rich Asians' movie in the Big City.  First - as a sideline - theaters in the Big City are way, way different than my local one.  This one had copper Greek statues of Medusa in the entry and larger than life statues of Poseidon and Amphitrite in the main hall.  Each showing room had assigned seating, wide walkways, and cushy chairs that reclined. Anyway, back to my mind's wandering.  In the movie the couple book a suite on an airplane. I was curious - how much would that cost?  The Internet is a wonderful thing when you have a question.  Found out Singapore Airlines does indeed have a "Suites Class" and is the only airline that has an optional double bed suite.  A suite includes, among other things, complementary Dom Perignon, Bose headphones, and an amenity kit consisting of a bottle of designer cologne, pajamas, slippers, blankets, and pillows.  Cost for one person from New York to Singapore is $23,000 (additional baggage charges may apply).

We saw this movie earlier this week. Hard to believe that architecture and scenery really exists. Will have to put Singapore on the bucket list.
