Purple finch (I think)
Nancy and I drove to Winter Gardens this morning to use the 'bonus bucks' we got when buying plants in May. On the way I asked Nancy what her thoughts were on the "JetBlue bridesmaid" business. She hadn't heard about it so I filled her in on the basics. A bride e-mailed her bridesmaid to say (as nicely as possible) that if the bridesmaid couldn't make it for all of the festivities planned before and after the wedding that the bride would relieve her of her 'duties' and ask someone else to be a bridesmaid. The jilted bridesmaid asked JetBlue if they would refund the money she'd laid out for a ticket to get to the wedding. I said the bride had also asked the bridesmaid to ship her 'jumpsuit' to the bride since the new bridesmaid could use it. That part I didn't get. When I parachute jumped we wore khaki coveralls w/ hard soled black boots. (I jumped w/ the old style parachutes.) I assumed since then jumpsuits had improved but doubted there was a way to make them look fashionable. Nancy laughed and said a 'jumpsuit' worn in weddings was a one piece garment w/ legs and usually made from a flowing material. "Like what Cher used to wear." I felt a little foolish. Not as foolish though as the time when a co-worker was talking about an investment she made and I piped in that I had those kind of dishes. Turned out she was talking about Corel stock and not Corelleware.
