Daylilies

Time to plant everything I bought at the Winter Gardens.  The daylily I bought already was blooming so I took two of the flowers and put in the arrangement I took to the library today.  (They are the light yellow w/ purple throat and ruffled edged ones).  Dug a short trench next to the deck.  Ripped apart a Lime Zinger sedum clump and planted them there.  I even put in the odds and ends of plant that fell off.  If they are like other sedum given a chance these parts will grow too.  The Lime Zinger will grow only a couple of inches in height.  Autumn Fire sedum grow a couple of feet tall and I put the newest one in the area at the west end of the deck.  Am trying to get the Autumn Fire to grow up into a large mass.   I can't take the mower through there so thought this would be a good alternative to weeds.  Replaced a peony on the other side of the deck where I lost one.  (Didn't think those things would die.)   I placed a mum in an old chamber pot a friend gave me.  It will put on orange flowers and look good by the front door this fall.  No worries - just because I used a bedpan and now a chamberpot as planters does not mean I have a scatological fetish!
