Chinese Lantern effect

I need to change my alarm to get up earlier.  Last autumn I set it back to 6 a.m. since the sun was coming up later and, let's face it, I could use the beauty sleep.  Now if I don't bounce out of bed immediately and throw on some clothes, the sun is already above the horizon by the time I'm walking out the door.   It just won't do to not greet the sun each day, hear the birds in their morning chorus, and maybe snap some pictures before the sun is so high it washes out the colors.  Changing my alarm back is my own version of Daylight Savings Time.
