Snow
The next snow storm was due in, according to the local news and on-line weather, around 3 a.m. this morning. The snow amount was forecast to be between 4" and 8" - anything over 5" I take notice. Still nothing at 7 a.m. though the blurb across the TV said all of our local schools were closed. I'd made sure there was enough of everything on Saturday but since there was still no storm I decided to take a drive. Around 10 a.m. Indy jumped into the back of the car and we took off. I was just turning onto Main Street when the first flurries started. We made stops at the post office and bank. The library was dark since it closes when the school closes. Drove over to the next town to pick up a couple of things, wash the car, pick up a sub sandwich. and treat myself to a latte. We'd been out and about for only a little over an hour when we started back home but the snow was coming down so hard it was hard to see.and now enough slush on the roads to make it difficult to navigate. The snow hasn't let up since and we have some great drifts though none like in this picture. The edge of the picture has '37' on it. Not sure if that's the year or the number of inches.
