Hoar frost on thistle head
The kittens may actually be mellowing. I was able to put on my hiking boots in the living room this morning. When I've tried that before the kittens made it a tortuous exercise by attacking the boots long laces and going after my fingers w/ their sharp little claws as I attempted to tie a knot. Today, Dunder just sat and watched. This afternoon I wrapped gifts w/ paper that made a crackling noise and bouncy ribbon strands. Figured that activity would be a struggle too but I had no problems from the kittens. OK. The truth is the kittens were more interested in a cardboard box I'd received in the mail. They dragged it off the countertop where I'd unpacked it and managed to flatten it out w/ their playing. Blitzen, who is in a eating-paper phase, left tiny little pieces of cardboard all over the floor. One of the presents sent in that package is for the kittens. On Christmas I'm contemplating letting them open it themselves.
