A beautiful day here. Temps in the low 70's, nice breeze, sunny skies. My niece is visiting from the bottom part of the state and thought they had more color than we did here. The leaves start changing in the north and the maximum color line falls further south week by week. I haven't looked into why that trend might be temporarily reversed. Could be the trees here haven't been stressed at all - it's been a cool summer and there has been plenty of rain. We also haven't had a freeze yet which usually seems to jump-start the whole process. Not a problem - I'm OK w/ letting summer linger a little longer.
