Dunder and Blitzen

Took the kittens in yesterday morning to be neutered. I had the whole day where I didn't need to close doors behind me, have things I set down knocked to the floor, and do anything I wanted w/o paws poking into whatever I was trying to accomplish. Don't get me wrong. I was concerned enough about the little guys to carry my phone in my pocket all day just in case the vet's office called. Indy though seemed nonplussed about their absence. Picked both of them up at the vet's office this morning. Surgeries had gone well and the vet's assistant went over the post-surgical care instructions. No restrictions required on food or water. Dunder's castration didn't require sutures and while Blitzen's spaying did, the sutures are absorbable so no need to bring her back. The instructions on the paper did state "restrict activity for 7-10 days." I started laughing and the assistant looked at me w/ a sheepish grin. "Yes, I know." were her only words. It just isn't possible to keep a kitten from being active.
