Milked on Wednesday. It was 2 degrees outside when I drove to the dairy but the parlor was 40 degrees - exactly the temp the cows like. Alejandrina and I don't consider it quite so perfect but we were working hard and didn't notice the cold nor even turn on the heating system. Letting yourself get cold for a long period of time catches up w/ you later. I noticed it when I got home, cranked up the hot water, and just sat in the shower for awhile. After that I got on the couch, covered up w/ a warm throw, and sipped hot coffee while I watched TV. One big benefit about working at the dairy is it assuages any guilt about vegging out all afternoon.
