Herbs by the front door

From the Sheriff's report -

  • 9:00 a.m. Caller reported her dog had been barking for two hours. She reported she later went to the doctor and while she was gone someone stole some of her raspberry jam and one of her shoes.  She requested extra patrols.
  • 10:27 a.m. Caller reported someone stole $600 from a residential safe but left $3,700 still in the safe.  Family members were interviewed.
  • 11:48 a.m. 911 caller reported that a road construction crew had traffic backed up.
  • 3:34 p.m. Caller reported a neighbor was burning firewood at a campfire and smoke was coming into her house.  Neighbor had a burning permit and the woman was advised to close her windows.
  • 4:50 p.m. A man reported he received a 12 pack of lager as a gift and he saw someone come on his porch and steal it.  The suspect was found, blew a .012 PBT and was arrested.
  • 5:07 p.m. - Caller reported his neighbor carried a black suitcase into the neighbor's house and he wanted an officer to find out what was in the suitcase.  The deputy said there was not enough information to raise suspicion.  The caller said the neighbor used his back door to carry in the suitcase but before he had always used his front door.
  • 6:39 p.m. Two inmates at the jail got into an argument over the remote control.  One of the inmates was moved to another block.
  • 7:36 p.m. Woman reported a man took pictures of someone working in her yard.  Officer informed her that it is not against the law for someone to take photographs.
  • 9:18 p.m. Caller reported her vehicle was side-swiped by a passing vehicle. The offending vehicle was stopped by deputies. The driver's father called dispatch and complained that deputies had pulled over his daughter.  The next morning the caller reported all of her spark plug wires were cut.
