Took a morning walk through the fields. The forecast is for snow or rain starting soon so I wanted to make sure we got some time outside. The above freezing days have created a slush on top of the snow while the below freezing nights have caused that to congeal into a hard crust. The crust is sturdy enough to put some weight on but will break through w/ bone jarring results when you try to stand on it. I fell a couple of times. On the good side it was quite a work out. On the bad side, a walk that would have taken only 15 minutes in the spring took 45 minutes today.
