There is a trend in news reporting to include Facebook posts and especially Tweets that other people have responded on the issue. I was puzzled at first trying to figure out who these people are to be included in a news article and what intimate knowledge they have on the subject matter. Often they turned out to be "celebrities" or people commenting something particularly vicious. I'm assuming journalists are giving their audience what they want to hear rather than worrying about providing facts. Therefore don't worry about the presidential candidates that don't do well at the debates tonight. They could have a great future in journalism.
