Snaping Turtle

 That time of year where I need to trek every path every week or risk missing something new. This little snapping turtle wasn't much bigger than my hand. After "snapping" a few pictures, I put him back on his path from one fen to another. Found my first orchid of the year. It isn't blooming yet but hopefully I'll be able to get a picture of it when he does. Checked bird houses today. No tree swallow eggs but three of the houses had bluebird eggs. Indy came upon a duck sitting on a nest in the field. Fortunately, she was just curious and let the duck fly off. All of the different types of cherry, plum, and apple trees are in bloom.  You'd think this was the Garden of Eden - if it weren't for the ticks.
