Memorial Day flowers

I'll freely admit to being a cemetery flower snob. I figure if you are going to put out flowers for Memorial Day, they should be real flowers. Talking w/ some people last week at the library, they gave reasons for using artificial flowers. One liked the bright colors of artificial flowers. I'd say that the real flowers are every bit as bright and colorful. Another said she didn't have the time to water them every day. I'm only asking for real flowers on Memorial Day weekend. After that, they can be replaced w/ artificial flowers if you want. Real flowers fairly shout resurrection, spring, and new life. Not precisely sure what artificial flowers say.

Thanks for the flowers on Doug's stone. And if he were there he would be trying to smell them. Thanks again! JVM

Am just now able to catch up on my blog reading after several days. Thank you for taking such care with our family's grave-sites. It is very much appreciated.
