Blue Winged Teal

Tuesday's tour went well. A professional dairy assn. sponsored a tour of four different calf/ heifer/ transitional cow facilities. Our dairy's new calf barn was one of them. The tour leaders said the dairy visited before ours also had a brand new calf barn but that the group became much more animated when they came here - asking questions, shooting pictures, and getting contact information. That was taken as a sign that our new calf barn was the more interesting and innovative. Carol, the dairy owner, had another reason to be happy. There were some leftover box lunches so she didn't have to cook yesterday!
