The dairy owners are away for the rest of the week and Mike is off too. Left us short-handed this morning.   I wanted a day off earlier this year when the owners were to be absent and my request was denied. Don't know why Mike got days off under similar circumstances. I'm guessing he probably had jury duty or something similar where he absolutely had to be. However, I have chosen to take this to mean that I am considered indispensable not only to the cleaning process (as I stated in an earlier blog entry) but ALSO to the milking process!  Nothing wrong w/ my ego.
