Copper light fixture
I could see that the main street of the village was closed on Wednesday and some major duty digging equipment was working late into the night but I didn't know why. When I went to the library today to pick up the key so I could open tomorrow, the volunteer behind the desk filled me in. Seems our recent cold spell had caused a water main to break. The town had shut off all of the water in town until they isolated the problem to main street. Fortunately they were able to turn the water back on to the library but much of the rest of the village homes were w/o. "The library became the community's living room. There were people everywhere!" the volunteer laughed, "They were playing games, putting together puzzles, reading books, and, of course, using the bathroom facilities, and getting a drink of water." Who said libraries are an anachronism?
