Chimera

We are down to only three dump cows at the dairy so it doesn't take long to get through the hospital group. There are other cows in that group. One of the new cows still isn't giving any milk unless I give her a shot of oxytocin before I put the milker on. One has an irritation where her bag rubs against her leg so I squirt hydrogen peroxide on it before she leaves. Three have "milker cuts". When it gets dry in the winter, the skin on the teat can break where the milker is attached. I put udder balm on that. One cow has a case of mammelitis on the end of a teat. I post-dip that teat w/ bleach. So there are lots of things to do and be watching for. I figure I can't be too absent-minded to be able to remember what all needs to be done. Now, if I could only remember what I did w/ my phone charger my life would be complete.

Beautiful cross.

I use the bag balm also ; only on my fingers after quilting several hours by hand. (And I have done a lot of quilting Dec & Jan.)
