Not a great start to this day. My alarm didn't go off (fortunately, I have a backup alarm set for 10 minutes later). The hoofer was at the dairy this morning so the cows were upset. That meant the cows were reluctant to come into the parlor, they pooped more in the parlor, and some stopped giving milk after only a few pounds. I banged my bad knee while we were working (checked when I got home and I have some new black and blue areas). Plus I should have realized that the relative warm spell we are having (30 degrees) was too warm to be wearing winter silks under my barn clothes. However, once home, things started smoothing out to normal. Think I'll soak my knee before going to bed. Tomorrow is another day.
