Sunrise

Don and his brother Cal qualified for a radio station's grand prize of a hunting package and use of a truck for a year. However, Wednesday, Cal fell, hit his head, and is still in the hospital. So Don gave me a call and asked if I would stand in for Cal at the drawing Saturday morning. (He said I was the only person he could think of that wouldn't want the hunting package.) I switched library weekends w/ another volunteer, bopped over the hills, and met Don at the truck dealership. Almost 200 other people qualified too and 25 were selected to try and pick out the one key that would open up the truck. Don and I didn't win anything but I've never been to something like this and found it rather fascinating. (Not interesting enough to ever do again but definitely better than sitting at the library for the morning.) Stopped off to have coffee w/ my friend Nancy before trekking back home. P.S. Hospital will do a few more tests on Monday but Cal expects to be released soon.
