Fly Agaric
In the 50's but I shucked the sweatshirt I'd been wearing around the house for a short-sleeved t-shirt before heading out on the walk. It's cold for the first couple of minutes but then you either stop noticing the temps or your blood is pumping and everything feels fine. The wind we had over the weekend blew many of the colored leaves off the trees. Indy and I walked through the tall grass of the old pastures, slopped through muddy sloughs, and followed a path through the swamp. Didn't actually see much new. Most of the flowers and birds are gone. Insects, reptiles, and amphibians don't move around much when it's cold. Now I'm sitting here w/ a newly torn hole in my jeans (where I ran into barbed wire that I didn't know was there) and bloody tracks down my arms (went through some blackberry bushes) - had a great time on the walk!
