Culver's Root

I was surprised to see Ethan at the dairy yesterday morning while Juanita and I were setting up. I sent him back to the barn and soon Mike was training him in. He was at the dairy last summer so didn't need much in instruction. He'll take over cleaning pens on the weekends. Justin has left. (Whoever guessed that he would only last a month at the dairy wins.) Also, in talking w/ the boss, found out that one of the women I milked w/ earlier this year (to me it was obvious this woman didn't want to be there) hadn't fooled the owners and they knew she really wasn't into working. Her leaving was probably more of a mutual agreement. So, what is the "take away" from all of this? (1) If you want to keep a job you need to work hard, (2) Your boss probably knows more than you think, and (3) No one likes to scrub the parlor.  Ethan was told to help Juanita and I scrub yesterday after he finished his chores in the barn. Instead he slipped away and drove off.  Wonder if - just on scrub days -  the bosses would let me hand cuff the new people?
