I spent the morning doing errands. One of them was to pick up Season 1 of a TV show at the library. I'd seen it on the list of new releases and thought it looked interesting. Obviously I hadn't read the write-up on the series closely. All of the dialog was in French w/ English subtitles. I usually don't sit still and watch TV (I keep it on for background noise mostly) so figured I'd view a couple of minutes and then turn over to the usual Saturday afternoon oaters on MeTV. Three hours later and I'm half-way through the DVD's that comprise Season 1. Turns out this show is very engaging. In addition, I've picked up a few French words.
