Spring Peeper

After milking, I do the clean-up in the bulk-tank room while Carlee rinses down the parlor. We usually finish within 5 minutes of each other. Not today. Part of my duties is to fill up two dip dispensers but the barrel of dip was practically empty. I moved the 4 ft by 2 1/2 ft barrel from the utility room into the tank room and balancing it on my thigh and knee, emptied the last dregs into a pail. Then rinsed it out and set it outside. I used the pail to fill up the dip dispenser and set up a new barrel. The milk tester was here during milking, so also washed the 16 milk collectors. I was a little surprised that I hadn't seen Carlee come through the tank room after she finished. I checked in the parlor. No Carlee. She'd left the jet hose laying on the floor. I looked outside and her car was gone. So I went back inside and finished rinsing down.  Made for a long morning.
