Old married couple
The boss wasn't in a good mood when I got to work this morning. Night crew had forgotten to turn on the automatic cleaning system for the milking units so she was running it through at least the beginning cycle (A full clean has 4 cycles and takes about an hour). Then she had to give an aspirin to a cow. For that, they load the aspirin (which is an oblong pill about as long as my palm and wider than my thumb) into a tube w/ a plunger and try to get it far enough down a cow's gullet that the cow can't spit it out. Took a couple of tries but the cow finally smacked her lips which the boss said meant she had swallowed it. Though humid, the rest of milking went smoothly. After a rocky start, not a bad day.
