My friend, Nancy, wasn't happy w/ the temporary pastor and I was tired of the vapid new-style music of the church we've been attending so we tried somewhere else today. The new church is much smaller but very welcoming. I knew all of the hymns we sang save one. That was still OK because we used hymnals and, since I can read music, had no problems learning it. This church's pastor had recently retired so they too had a temp pastor. His sermon kept my interest and I learned something. Afterwards on the way home Nancy and I compared notes. I was pretty happy w/ our first visit to this little church but Nancy had some reservations. Not a problem. There are more churches to visit.
