Took a walk through the swamps. Bringing the camera along was just a perfunctory move - I didn't expect to get any pictures. No ducks yet on Gorgeous Gorge. It might be they are still waiting for the edges to fill in w/ cattails so they have hiding places. Turtle Head and Mistake Lake though have some. They fly away as soon as they see me coming and it's hard to get any pictures. I stopped by one of the ponds to fiddle w/ my camera. Must have stood still for awhile when I heard a splash. These two ducks had flown off, circled around, and dropped back into the water. Carefully got my picture so as not to disturb them and walked on. There aren't any flowers coming up yet but I was delightfully surprised to find a knoll full of deer tongue (a/k/a trout lily) leaves emerging. Spring is sprunging - uh- spranging -uh- springing -uh- here!
