Song Sparrow (I think)

I wanted to get the four bird houses that bear had ruined last year back up but in different locations. While the rebar, metal conduit pipe, mallet, screwdriver, and camera aren't all that heavy, tracking them through the underbrush and then installing them might be a bit much for me. So I packed the stuff and Indy into the car, and we drove to the access road to the back pasture. There were two wet spots my little Subaru sashayed through but we made it to the sites. I was doing pretty good till the screwdriver slipped and went into my finger. Fingers bleed profusely. I didn't think bear were quite as good as sharks in smelling blood but I needed to go back anyway since I'd forgotten the housing units. Back in the car, back through the wet spots, and home. Washed & bandaged my finger, picked up the houses, and we drove back to finish up the job. Might have been my imagination, but as we drove off from the first site, I thought I heard the excited trill of a swallow.
