Eric, the dairy owner, just got back from another trip to Washington D.C. He met w/ Ag committees to talk about farming issues. Mostly he was impressed w/ their knowledge and opinions. (Comforting to know that all of our politicians aren't bozos.) On farm worker immigration rules - sounds like policy changes will be coming this summer. On crop insurance reform - the head of that committee was intractable. Eric decided to pick his battles and dropped it. On the EU prohibiting US cheese makers from using names "asiago", "muenster", "feta", etc. - well, hopefully, they don't get their way. Would you buy cheese labeled "Parmesan-like"?
