I walked into my neighbor, Doug Dearhamer's home and announced I was jealous. While a few weeks ago, MY picture of a snowy owl had made section B of the paper and was printed in black and white, HIS picture of a northern goshawk made the front page this week, above a write-up the editor had done on the species, and was printed in color. Doug placated me w/ a cup of coffee and we talked birds for awhile. When I left he was musing that if one's name was going to be printed in the newspaper, it's nice it's as a by-line rather than in something like the Sheriff's log.
