Winter Shadow Box
I'd originally planned an underground (a/k/a earth-sheltered) house. Am getting a feel of what living in it might have been like. The snow has drifted on the south side of the house higher than the bottom of the windows. The plow guy has been pushing the snow into a mound on the northeast side and that mound has advanced to the front door now. I walked out today to see if the satellite dish (which gives me Internet access) was still free of snow and if Indy's doggie door from the garage still gave her access to her run. Both are fine - though I'll have to watch that the drift in her run doesn't get high enough to let her jump out. White-out conditions this afternoon. Two more months of winter to go. (Of course, winter-type weather will last longer than that.)
