I got in the car at 4:10 a.m. this morning to go to work. There was frozen dew on the windshield. Not good. While I had moved the cactus and herbs close to the house last night, I wasn't sure that would be enough to keep them from freezing. However, it must not have gotten much colder last night since everything looked OK when I got home. This is first frost. Interesting but not as significant as the killing frost or the dreaded time-to-turn-on-the-heat-in-the-house.
