Confused Haploa moth
The corn is tasseling. I drive along roads w/ corn fields on either side and I can take in the scent of pollen (thankfully I don't have any allergies). The boss said this is the most critical time in a corn plant's life - it needs enough water and likes warm temps. The crops around here look good but on the drive to the Big City last weekend, I noticed some fields w/ brown leaves. I mentioned this to the boss and he said I didn't have to share that observation w/ his son. Corn prices have fallen to $4.65/bushel. Just 65 cents away from the boss winning the big $10 bet. Even if the boss loses in the end, he wants his son to sweat about it a little.
