Stopped by to see Aunt June this morning. We drank our coffee, toured the facility, and came back to her dining room in time for brunch. The wait staff was running behind so nothing was ready yet. The only thing on the table in front of June was a menu and what was on the menu was a tad boring. We decided to cross out what was on the list and write down what June would prefer to be served. Coffee, of course. Hummus on water crackers for an appetiser. A vegetable soup. Tiny shrimp for the fish course. Filet Mignon, well done, w/ bearnaise sauce. Creamed corn (couldn't convince her to go w/ asparagus tips in a cheese sauce.) Crepes Suzette for dessert. June looked over the list and asked if they would really serve that. I replied, "Of course you'll get the coffee but the rest might look a lot like a poached egg and hash."
