Bobolink

The Sunday night crew at the dairy have gotten into the habit of scrubbing the walls after they are done milking. So, we haven't been scrubbing on Monday mornings lately. Sure the Sunday night crew doesn't clean everything but the parlor looks OK and why make the owners pay us for cleaning again. We do scrub everything on Thursdays.  I don't handle hot weather very well so now that the it's warmer, I'm pretty wrung out by the end of milking.    

Antonio and I were working through the last group of 80 cows when Mike and the herdsman came in and started scrubbing the walls in between cows coming and going. It made our cleaning afterward go much faster. Tonight I made sugar cookies. I frosted them w/ buttercream frosting and sprinkled tiny edible chocolate cows on top. I'll take them in tomorrow morning for the crew as a thank you for the help w/ cleaning.  Actually, it's my take on 'Pavlov Dog Conditioning'. Everytime, we get help cleaning, I bring in goodies.  (Just so you don't start thinking I'm a nice person.)
