Sandhill Crane in our latest snowstorm

My last town board meeting. Things were back to normal. Only a couple of people in attendence and no one was standing up accusing anyone else of maleficence. The new clerk sat at my elbow and was a bit worried about all of the notes I was taking. Technically, she only has to state who was at the meeting, who made and seconded motions and if the motion carried. However, I like to write down what the board considered before coming to a point where a motion is made. Useful if there are questions later on. The meeting went fast and, at the end, the board presented me w/ a card and gift to thank me for my service. An unexpected and very nice thought.
